Something I want for NextAxis is for it to be an outlet for some of the industry’s best freelance talent. I’ve always been a big believer in the ability of a freelancer to think independently and be more expansive and imaginative with their ideas. Ethos

NextAxis allows for a change in approach. I believe that it is impossible to compete with the internet’s speed of delivery for news coverage. Traditional magazines realised that years ago, at least the ones that stayed in business did. Where a magazine can thrive is with editorial and critical coverage. The internet is capable of great editorial but it is often lost among the noise of so much ever-refreshing content. Continue Reading →

Getting Ready


This project has been in the pipeline for almost a year now. That is an incredibly long time to keep something simmering on the back burner but I want to get it just right and NextAxis is not going to be cheap to launch. I don’t simply mean the financial costs of creating and launching a digital magazine, it is also a time consuming project. I’ve squeezed in project proposals, design mock ups and planning around everything else, while keeping the whole project a secret.
